16 Fall Festivities to Gobble Up – November Lil Rhody Round-Up

October 21, 2019

Our last full month of fall brings a lot of change. The leaves are changing color and dropping from their limbs. Shorter days are ahead as we leave Daylight Savings behind and “fall forward” on the second Sunday of the month.

In November, there are a lot of special days worth celebrating. Our month starts by remembering and honoring loved ones who have passed away on the Day of the Dead or All Saints Day, which celebrates the lives of all saints, known and unknown.

Veterans Day on November 11th is a day to honor those who have fought for our freedoms and dedicated their lives to serving our country. Remembrance Day coincides with this same day, honoring the end of WWI.

Did you know November is also National Beard MonthNo Shave November raises awareness for those whose lives have been touched by cancer, which is pretty much everyone.

There are a few fun days this month we particularly like. National Men Make Dinner Day is the first Thursday of the month (pssst, we think this should be every Thursday, year-round.) Another fun, food-related day we particularly like is National Sandwich Day on November 3rd, which could be every day – the skies the limit when it comes to sandwiches! But let’s face it, Thanksgiving is the very best holiday of the year. We love sharing a feast with family and friends. It’s so important to share gratitude for the food and people we love and spend time with.

Here in Rhode Island, we have many festivities to enjoy, celebrate and support all month long. We have great shopping events to kick off the holiday season, too! And don’t forget – we have gift certificates ready for gifting right here at Rhode Island Red Food Tours.

Ahhhh! Did you know that our food tour season comes to the end this month? Our Newport Neighborhood and Downcity Providence food tours end on 11/30. Hurry and book your Rhode Island Red Food Tours experience in Newport or Providence before our season ends. But don’t fret we have some news to share soon! Book your food tour today.
